The GLOCK’s Medium Tour Finale goes to Caroline Wimmer!

The second competition of today’s final day at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER concluded with a victory for Carinthia. Fifteen participating duos rode in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Medium Tour Finale over 1.35 m to contest the beautiful GLOCK’s winner’s trophy. Seven of them qualified through fault-free basic rounds for the jump-off.

There was suspense right till the end, because Caroline Wimmer (AUT/K), second-placed on the first day and winner on Saturday, was the last to start. Today again she was ready to deliver and, with her delightful eleven-year-old gelding Athen, she flew to a superb victory, encouraged by shouts from the audience.

"I’m speechless. Winning twice here is simply a dream come true. My thanks go to my horse, my parents and my trainer. But, above all, to the Ing. Gaston and Kathrin Glock family, who stage such a wonderful tournament here in Carinthia", said the emotional winner in an interview with Dorian Steidl.

Her performance with zero faults and 36.42 seconds was also something her fellow Carinthian, Andreas Bauer in the saddle on Lando 281, could not match. With a fault-free 36.65 seconds he was placed second.

Another lady took third place in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Medium Tour Finale. Susanne Kresch from Styria avoided excessive risk in the jump-off and, with her third clear round in 38.98 seconds, secured third place.

Sixth to twelfth places were taken by Mario Tschaitschmann (AUT/K) on Ria de Janeiro (4/39.24), Benjamin Saurugg (AUT/St) on Contador (0/39.43), Franz Aschenbrenner (AUT/W) on Lawrence A (4/71.78), Jenny Fehleisen (AUT/St) on Silver Flow (4/72.72), Dr. Georg Hladik (AUT/NÖ) on Parcival Z (4/76.01), Kathrin Kurat (AUT/K) on Latina 0160 (5/79.50) and Patrick Prömer (AUT/St) on Chicobello (8/69.02).
