Gerco and the GLOCK horses score well in Mierlo

Mierlo, a town of ten thousand souls to the east of Eindhoven, transformed itself into the centre of Dutch show jumping from April 21st – 24th 2016. Holland’s best show jumpers came to test their skills on the course and determine their new champion. GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder also made the trip and succeeded in placing well with GLOCK’s Champions Ludwig and GLOCK’s Lausejunge.

In the opening jumping event over 1.40 m on Thursday, Gerco and the nine-year-old KWPN gelding GLOCK’s Champions Ludwig (of Ludwigs As) promptly jumped their way to tenth in the placings. On Sunday too, the duo delivered a glittering performance in the test over 1.40 m with jump-off, achieving an ultimate third place.

Also descended from Ludwigs As, GLOCK’s Lausejunge was Gerco’s partner in the competitions for the Dutch Championships. As one of the youngest horses, "Lauser" mastered the first part-competition (1.50 m) magnificently and, under Gerco’s saddle, achieved fourth. In the final results, the duo stood in 15th place.
