Dark President wins in the “Dressage Stallions of the Year”

Once a year in the world of dressage, all eyes are on the four-legged dressage youngsters being presented at the WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. The selection process for entry in the classes of five, six and seven-year-old horses along with licensed stallions is guided by results and correspondingly strict, because only the best young horses can take part in this important event. So it is that only licensed stallions are allowed to take part in the class “Dressage Stallions of the Year”. For Team GLOCK, new member Riccardo Sanavio rode licensed stallion Dark President (Wynton x G Ramiro Z) for the qualification in this class and the duo put on a superb show.

Whilst nine-year-old KWPN stallion Dark President came second, behind "Everdale" (son of Lord Leatherdale) under British rider Charlotte Fry, with 71.930% in the Prix St Georges on Saturday, there was no catching Dark President and Riccardo in the Intermediate I Freestyle “Dressage Stallions of the Year” on Sunday. With an overall 74.867%, the two of them took victory.
