Novita Jovial Z and Laura Renwick (GBR) win GLOCK’s Youngster Tour Final

Final day of International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. With a total of 236,000 euros of prize money, the four-day event draws to a close today (Sunday 04/02) with the three deciders of GLOCK’s Youngster Tour, GLOCK’s Medium Tour and GLOCK’s 3* Grand Prix as the great highlight.

Starting things off in the morning were 20 seven and eight-year-old youngster horses, who were presented for the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour Final over 1.35/1.40 m by their experienced riders. During the basic round of this international jumping competition with jump-off, eight of these promising youngster horses succeeded in remaining penalty-free, thus qualifying to contest the decider.

On the jump-off course there were six clear rounds so the top places were hotly contested. Standing at the award ceremony was the likeable Laura Renwick from Great Britain between the splendidly florally decorated trappings of the GHPC. Currently number 76 in the LONGINES World Rankings, she had ridden her just seven-year-old Novita Jovial Z, daughter of Nabab de Reve and a powerful jumper, to a magnificent victory in the final of GLOCK’s Youngster Tour with a lead of more than two seconds. “Winning always feels great, but it’s even a bit better here in this fantastic atmosphere.”, said the happy winner with a smile.

Also putting on a magnificent and convincing show was the eight-year-old Westphalian stallion Colincor (Captain Fire x Cornet Obolensky) under Olympic bronze medallist and European Champion, Marco Kutscher (GER). Penalty-free through the jump-off in 37.88 seconds meant second place in the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour Final for the practised rider, ahead of his compatriot Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. For this final, the latter team World and European Champion had saddled up her eight-year-old Flipper la Première. The duo completed the jump-off in 38.18 seconds with no faults and celebrated third place.

Scoring points for Austria in the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour Final were Christian Rhomberg (AUT/V) and his just seven-year-old, very promising Der Is Et, son of Diarado, with an excellent fourth place (0/39.78).
