Ready for Horses & Stars! Austria’s sole 5* show jumping tournament begins

From June 8th till 10th 2018, the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER AUSTRIA is opening its gates for a 5-star event for the fifth time. Expected at International Show Jumping are the best riders in the world from 17 nations, accompanied by more than 150 horses. There’s a heady atmosphere of anticipation because, as every year, the number of nominated top athletes is outstandingly high.

Twelve bouts of excitement on the course
From Friday till Sunday at GHPC Austria, spectators can cheer on their own, personal idols a total of twelve times. At stake for the riders are not only prize money totalling 596,000 euros but also, on five occasions, points for the World Ranking list and the potential to qualify for the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the 2019 European Championships. So it’s no wonder that, alongside the 25 riders from among the current top 100 in the world, numerous Olympic winners, World and European Champions have announced their participation.

The opening competitions for all tours will take place on Friday (08/06) from 9am. From this moment on, spectators will be able to marvel at exciting sport, ranging from seven and eight-year-old youngster horses to the professionals, with entry free. The highlight will be the GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix, with prize money totalling 345,000 euros, starting on Sunday (10/06) at around 3:30pm.

The crème de la crème of the show jumping elite are here
Alongside the red-white-red top athletes including Austria’s number one Max Kühner (T), top female Julia Kayser (T) and shooting star Miklos-Tassilo Csillaghy (W), spectators can also look forward to appearances by GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder (NED), GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix winner Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Martin Fuchs (SUI), overall World Cup winner Beezie Madden (USA) and Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medallist Daniel Deusser (GER).
