Here come the crème de la crème of show jumping’s elite
This year the sheer number of superstars both in and under the saddle is greater than ever, with fans’ pulses set to race harder too. Of the top 50 riders on the current world ranking list, around half will be coming to Treffen to contest rankings and wins in the 18 jumping competitions. They are drawn not only by the total prize money amounting to 600,000 euros and five world ranking jumping competitions, but also by the prestigious GLOCK’s CSI5* Grand Prix on Sunday, where 400,000 euros are at stake.

For the first time, the world number 1, Olympic winner and European champion Scott Brash (GBR), will be competing at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. Among those challenging this world-class rider will be compatriot and twice winner of GLOCK’s Grand Prix, John Whitaker (No. 21), European championship contestant Daniel Deusser (GER – No. 4), Bertram Allen (IRL – No. 5), double world champion Jeroen Dubbeldam and his fellow team member Maikel van der Vleuten (NED - No. 10), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE – No. 13), Luciana Diniz (POR – No. 14) and Olympic winner and European champion Ben Maher (GBR – No. 24 in the world).

Others to cheer on at the GHPC will include Pan American Games bronze medal winners Lauren Hough (No. 23 in the world) and Kent Farrington (No. 7 in the world), as well as up-and-coming Qatari Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani (No. 26 in the world) and Bassem Hassan Mohammed (No. 45 in the world). Riding for Brazil will be Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (No. 28 in the world) and Doda de Miranda, the latter accompanied by his equally ambitious and distinguished wife Athina Onassis-De Miranda (GRE).

The appearance of London 2012 Olympic Games twice silver-medal-winner and Caen 2014 World Equestrian Games team world champion Gerco Schröder is keenly anticipated. The GLOCK Rider will be travelling with GLOCK’s London N.O.P., GLOCK’s Lausejunge, GLOCK’s Zaranza and GLOCK’s Debalia to his "second home" and will join his fellow team members from the Netherlands at the forefront of competition at the GHPC. With world champion Jeroen Dubbeldam and London 2012 silver-medal-winners Jur Vrieling (No. 17 in the world) and Maikel van der Vleuten (No. 9 in the world), they are sending their best riders to Treffen.

Keep your fingers crossed for the red-white-red stars
Austria will also be sending its best athletes to the GHPC. At the CSI5* you will have the chance to admire the skills of Austria’s world championship team including show-jumping-legend Hugo Simon (St), European championship participants Max Kühner (T) and Roland Englbrecht (OÖ), as well as recent double Austrian national champion Gerfried Puck (St).
