Two GLOCK stallions for KWPN breeding

Seventy days was the duration of the KWPN stallion performance test, for which both GLOCK’s Toto Jr. (Totilas x Desperados) as well as GLOCK’s Gironn (Uphill x Ferro) have qualified with the KWPN core in March 2014. On Saturday (24th of May, 2014) the final test took place in Ermelo, with the aim of deciding which stallions would finally be accepted into the Dutch horse register, KWPN.

Toto received 9.0 points for walk, canter as well as rideability and attitude. For his trot and elasticity he received 8.0 points. For appearance, balance and disposition as a dressage horse, 8.5 points. Consequently, and with a total of 86 points, the Hanoverian stallion led the spring stallion performance test together with Chippendale-Scandic son Giovanni.

GLOCK’s Gironn was given 8.5 points for walk, 8.0 points for canter, rideability and attitude and 7.5 points for trot, elasticity, balance and disposition as a dressage horse and is, with a total of 78.5, now also a KWPN Dutch horse register approved stallion!

“There simply was a special connection between his father and me. This isn’t something one could learn or train. It is a gift from horse to man. This is why it is so beautiful to feel that also his son is giving me the same trust. It is an honour.” Edward Gal about GLOCK’s Toto Jr. © Arnd Bronkhorst
