Robert Puck shines at GP in Kiel

As every year, the Baltic Horse Show – one of the first indoor events of the season – drew many international star riders to Kiel (GER).

The show held there from 10 to 13 October was a CSI3* combined with a CSIYH1* and also saw GLOCK rider Robert Puck competing. Unfortunately, he seemed to be dogged by bad luck over much of the weekend. Although the horses jumped well, at least one fault always prevented a better placing.

In the Kiel Grand Prix on Sunday, however, things started to look up again: aboard GLOCK’s Zaranza, an excellent jumper sired by Karandasj, the GLOCK rider was one of only eight of the 49 starters to post a fault-free first round and also went clear in the jump-off. His time of 39.30 seconds meant third place behind Germany’s Miriam Schneider (Cotendra) and Robert Whitaker (GBR) who took the win home to England on his 10-year-old stallion Catwalk.
