Austria again and again in GLOCK’s Small Tour

Once again it was the CSI1* GLOCK’s Small Tour contestants, who had opened sporting proceedings in the International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. For these 16 riders from six nations, today’s course ran over 1.15 m and six of them cleared it with no penalties.

As in yesterday’s opening competition, victory stayed in the hands of the hosting country, Austria. For once again Birgit Peintner from Carinthia, with her 14-year-old gelding Gaspari, managed to deliver the fastest time at the GHPC. In 51.51 seconds the duo sped across the finishing line, leaving the competition with no chance. "No question, I wanted to win today, and it worked out ", said Birgit Peintner in her winner’s interview. "Conditions here are perfect for both rider and horse and this is the loveliest tournament that I know. My thanks to the Gaston and Kathrin Glock family."

Second place also went to Austria, courtesy of Theresa Kriessmann (St) and son of Rutowski, Rochester Bounty, the duo completing the test without penalties in 56.03 seconds. Wilhelm Haberl (GER) and Lesotho again showed top form in GLOCK’s Small Tour, like yesterday taking third place in 56.94 seconds.
