Team GLOCK starts successfully into the New Year

On the weekend from 8th till 10th of January 2016, the two Dutch GLOCK riders Gerco Schröder and Hans Peter Minderhoud celebrated a successful start to the 2016 tournament season. Gerco went to Basel (SUI), for the year’s first CSI5* event, Hans Peter Minderhoud took his place at the CDI3* in Drachten (NED).

The world elite of show-jumping riders gathered at the World Cup event in Basel, where Gerco Schröder won two top placements. With nine-year-old Westphalian stallion GLOCK's Lausejunge (Ludwigs As x Cornet Obolensky), the current team World and European champion took 13th place in the show jumping accumulator with two jokers over 1.50 metres. For the Grand Tour, Gerco started with GLOCK's Cognac Champblanc. On Sunday the thirteen-year-old son of Clearway impressed with two penalty-free rounds in the Longines Grand Prix over 1.60 m and jumped to the fourth top place in this competitive world-ranking show jumping test.

In the meantime, Hans Peter attended the CDI3* Drachten (NED) with GLOCK's Casper and GLOCK's Romanov. 'Casper', a nine-year-old son of Westpoint, presented himself in top shape. With him, Hans Peter was able to win both the FEI Prix St. Georges on Friday (72.500 %) and the Intermediate I freestyle on Saturday (76.000 %). On Friday in the Grand Prix test, GLOCK's Romanov showed excellent movements, albeit with a few errors in between. The result of 69.180 % meant sixth place. In the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday the sixteen-year-old Oldenburg stallion clearly improved his performance, coming second with 74.425 %.
