A second Spanish win with a lot of emotion for José Daniel Martín Dockx

José Daniel Martín Dockx and P.R.E. stallion Grandioso performed as if they were from another planet today. In the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle, the number 44 in the world and his 14-year-old thoroughbred Spanish bay turned the GHPC arena into a stage for a Spanish victory.

Their flying changes every second stride on the circle, piaffes on the spot, passages with classic Spanish leg action, extended trot with great forward thrust, one-handed final piaffe exuded a passion that the spectators also felt. His gift to the audience was rewarded with 79.650%, which meant the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle win. After he saluted at the end, there was no holding back for the Spaniard, he hugged Grandioso and left the ring amid loud cheers.

Ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, Lord of Loxley sired by Lord Sinclair seemed a little tense today. In spite of this, 73.200% was good for second place ahead of Allan Skov (DEN) with a score of 72.600% on 12-year-old Volstrupgaards Cassiopeia who has already won twice.

Austria’s best riders here were Katrin Wergetis (Tyrol) on Waldano with 66.750% for eighth and Amanda Hartung (Tyrol) on Wolkenritter who was ninth with 66.250%.
