Allan Skov keeps the Danish flag flying in the Prix St Georges

Just last February Allan Skov (DEN) took home three wins on Walk of Life from the CDI3* in Vestfold (DEN) Today in the CDI3* Prix St Georges he was again superb on the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding sired by Wolkentanz. Ranking first three times, once in second and once in fourth, he scored an overall 72.342%, which secured top honours.

“Unfortunately he was a little tense today,” said GLOCK rider Hans Peter Minderhoud about his much acclaimed performance on nine-year-old GLOCK’s Ziesto, “I wanted to show how relaxed he is, then he almost took my breath away he was so amazing!” The approved KWPN stallion by Lancet was a delight to watch in the arena with his charisma, immense potential for movement and excellent extended trot, which the judges also rewarded with a couple of nines. Finishing second on 71.868%, he certainly makes you want to see more.

Although only eight years old, Fixdesign Ranieri responded well to Valentina Truppa’s aids. Guided by the seventh in the world rankings, the Denmark-bred GLOCK’s Romanov son did more than a good job and claimed third place with a 69.684%.

Nine-year-old GLOCK’s Federleicht is a wonderful horse for GLOCK young rider Timna Zach. The Carinthian rider concentrated very well during the Prix St Georges and was only penalised with minimal deductions. She finally proved to be the best Austrian in excellent fifth place with a score of 68.947% ahead of Lower Austria’s Tatjana Svehla on Donaublick in sixth (68.868%), Styria’s Martina Knill on Robbespiere in seventh (68.395%) and Upper Austria’s Juliane Vogt on Flipper NRW in tenth (67.132%).
