Saturday, 01 February 2014 CSI1* GLOCK's MEDIUM TOUR – 1.30 m

Best time and full points for Florence Seydoux (SUI)

Only six riders got the maximum 65 points in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Medium Tour 1.30 m accumulator competition with joker today. But it was Florence Seydoux who had the fastest round. The Swiss lady chose to ride her nine-year-old Cornet Obolensky gelding Clever PKZ in this competition. His great jumping ability and fast forequarters (48.98) were very striking. “My horse fights all the way for me, I have to thank him and of course my trainer Pius Schwizer,” said the successful jumper at the winner’s interview.

Runner-up spot was also firmly in Swiss hands, as Stefanie Breitenstein – the winner of yesterday’s Medium Tour – not only produced another effortless clear round with her Asterix X, but was also fast round the track (49.96). Following his second place yesterday, “horse doctor” Georg Hladik (AUT/Lower Austria) in third was pleased with the next successful round today on his 11-year-old Zangersheide gelding Parcival Z.

Six other Austrians secured local placings: Monika Niederländer (Vorarlberg) on Cornet 2 (6th), Marie-Luise Abraham (Carinthia) on Zazou (8th), Mario Tschaitschmann (Carinthia) on Ria de Janeiro (9th), Philipp Hattenberger (Carinthia) on Amadin (10th), Victoire Martin (Lower Austria) on Captain Jack 19 (11th) and Christina Joham (Carinthia) on Troubadour (12th).
