Florence Seydoux performs brilliantly in the GLOCK’s Medium Tour

Concentrated girl-power was evident today in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Medium Tour over 1.30 m. Because first to fifth places were clearly dominated by those great female performers in the jumping saddle.

The successful quintette of ladies was led by Florence Seydoux from Switzerland who had saddled up Belgian gelding Ulysse, formerly her partner Pius Schwizer’s top horse, and showed the 16 other participants the way in a fault-free 53.52 seconds. "You can always win with Ulysse. Pius even got a top place with him in World Cup competition. I’ll also be aiming to be out front over the next few days", said a congenial Florence at the winner’s interview.

As the last to ride, Carinthia’s Caroline Wimmer came close to challenging for victory. She was a mere 0.33 seconds short of the best time, with her eleven-year-old Athen galloping over the finishing line in 53.85 seconds. Third place was once again occupied by a Swiss lady, namely Christiana Duguet. In the saddle on Olympe de Kerglenn, she rode the course magnificently, her fault-free 57.66 seconds gaining her a place on the podium.

Additional top places for red-white-red were secured by Susanne Kresch (St) with her Heartbreaker in fourth place (0/57.89), along with sixth to twelfth places for Dr. Georg Hladik (NÖ) on Parcival (0/60,74), young lady from Burgenland Johanna Sixt on Koh I Noor (0/61.02), Patrick Prömer on Chicobello (0/64.30), Benjamin Saurugg (St) on Contador (0/64.39), Ulrich Domaingo (K) on Cool Cookie (0/66.89), Franz Aschenbrenner on Lawrence A (4/60.18) and Mario Tschaitschmann (K) on Ria de Janeiro (8/54.06).
