Gerco scores in London!

The Longines Global Champions Tour is seen as the world’s most prestigious show-jumping series. Therefore only the best riders on the world ranking list are invited to these exclusive events at unique locations. Last weekend (July 24th till 26th, 2015), London was the venue for LGCT and GLOCK rider Gerco Schroeder travelled to the UK’s capital with GLOCK's Cognac Champblanc.

In the CSI5* opening test on Friday, twelve participating duos had to go through two phases. Gerco and the powerful twelve-year-old gelding GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc presented themselves in top shape, remaining penalty-free through the course over 1.45 metres.

The highlight of the event was scheduled for Saturday. Forty-five participants took up the challenge of the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix over 1.60 metres, the top 18 of whom would then qualify for the second round. Among them were Gerco and 'Cognac', who didn’t accumulate any penalty points in the second round either. Thus the GLOCK dream team entered the final jump-off. Highly focused as usual and with enormous sensitivity, the son of Clearway was guided through the abbreviated course by GLOCK rider Schroeder, securing another penalty-free round and a fantastic fourth place!
