Girl power! Johanna Sixt (AUT) wins

The chase for clear rounds and the fastest time for the course was opened by 17 competitors in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Small Tour today. Nine riders from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic cleared all the 1.15 m high obstacles, with the best time coming from Burgenland. Johanna Sixt, just 15 years old, attracted attention yesterday when she took third place with her Holstein gelding Anturio. Today the reigning Austrian Pony Champion and runner-up Junior Champion posted the best time of 46.24 seconds to take a well-earned win! “Yesterday, on the first day, things did not go as smoothly, but today was much better,” the grammar school pupil grinned at the winner’s interview.

Birgit Peintner also went full speed. The Carinthian rider was sixth yesterday, guided her 12-year-old Gaspari over the course without a fault in 46.29 seconds today and just missed winning by a mere five hundredths.

Germany’s Nicole Schimmelpfennig and her partner in the arena, Kodac de Bossard, also improved their performance over yesterday. Following fourth in the opener, they claimed a place on the podium today. A time of 48.25 seconds and also zero penalties made it third.
