GLOCK meets Salzburg

Perfect planning and great attention to detail is Gaston and Kathrin Glock’s credo when catering for riders, horses and spectators at their events. Gaston Glock, founder and owner of the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria and Netherlands, is dedicated to promoting equestrian sport and renowned as one of its major sponsors. In view of this and also as a contribution to high-profile equestrian sport, 2013 is seeing three guest performances outside the GHPC in Treffen for the first time: the Gaston Glock’s Championships.

The first was Gaston Glock’s Championat Vienna, which was staged at the Vienna Masters on the square in front of the town hall. It proved to be an inspiring setting for the worthy winner: runner-up European and reigning German Champion Daniel Deußer (GER) on his Fyloe van het Claeyssenhof.

Second stop – Salzburg
As the largest horse and dog show with seven equestrian and two canine disciplines, the Pappas Amadeus Horse Indoors in Salzburg is now the ideal venue for another GLOCK highlight: the Gaston Glock’s Championat Salzburg.

GLOCK-style paradise – time for dreaming
It is paradise for horses, riders and spectators – although a temporary one. Like a mirage, Gaston Glock’s Championship will emerge with the familiar touch of GLOCK perfection. In addition to creating a special atmosphere and generously sponsoring the world ranking competition and its organisation, GLOCK is taking a new approach in the sport.

Perfection meets equestrian sport
The course consists of specially designed GLOCK obstacles decorated with the beautiful floral displays so typical for GLOCK shows. There will be GLOCK trophies made by goldsmith Martin Schaller for the best three in the championship, with GLOCK rosettes and GLOCK gifts for those placed. During the Gaston Glock’s Championship, a lady will be commentating whose voice has gained international recognition from the events at GHPC Treffen. The GLOCK music for the victory ceremony, prize giving and lap of honour was specially composed by famous Dutchman Joost Peters and Austrian television star Christian Clerici will be the presenter at the ceremony for the winner and placed riders.
