GLOCK’s Youngster Tour winner - Zita 94 and Markus Saurugg (AUT)

The last day of the CSI3* International Show Jumping events at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER opened with the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour final. Of the 28 competitors who presented their seven and eight-year-old horses in the 1.35 m first round, ten went clear to qualify for the jump-off and among them were four local riders.

Last year the Stakkato daughter ridden by Styria’s Markus Saurugg had shone in first place in the final, making the fast seven-year-old Holstein mare one of the contenders for the win. In the jump-off, Zita 94 let herself be guided quickly round every turn and with a mighty jump over the final oxer secured the win for Austria in 36.59 seconds.

Werner Muff (SUI) had already claimed two placings at the GHPC with his eight-year-old Belgian mare Gertje van het Scheefkasteel and was delighted with second place in today’s final in a clear 36.76 seconds.

Jürgen Krackow (AUT/Salzburg) on Boulahrouz may have been three seconds short of victory, but his time of 39.97 seconds was good for third place today.

Competing for Austria were also Magna Racino rider Stefanie Bistan (Lower Austria) on seven-year-old Kannan progeny Kennedy 2 in ninth and GLOCK rider Robert Puck (AUT/Carinthia) on seven-year-old KWPN gelding GLOCK’s Charismatic Boy in tenth.
