Great success in Rotterdam and Styria

GLOCK riders Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud were nominated for the Dutch team to compete at the CHIO in Rotterdam (NED) and turned it into a real GLOCK fest with their tremendous successes there. At the same time, GLOCK riders Dieter Köfler and Gerfried Puck did their best at the Casino Grand Prix in Zeltweg- Farrach.

CHIO Rotterdam
The world’s elite equestrian athletes met for the CHIO in Rotterdam from 19 to 23 June, an event in the Netherlands classed as a CDIO5* and CDI3* for dressage riders. Everything went to plan for GLOCK riders Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud this weekend. In fact, they caused quite a sensation in their home country. It started on Wednesday with a convincing performance from Edward Gal and GLOCK’s Voice, scoring 75.277% for clear victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix. The GLOCK dream team then raised the bar in the Grand Prix Special to gain 77.063% for a wonderful demonstration of the most difficult movements, which gave them the second win in succession.

Friday saw the second round of the FEI Nations Cup™ Dressage at the CDIO5* and the GLOCK riders were again in their element here. Hans Peter Minderhoud on GLOCK’s Tango helped the team considerably with his 69.681% and took fourth place in the individual. The fantastic score of 79.660% that Edward Gal and GLOCK’s Undercover got for their sensational performance took the Dutch team into second place, securing the lead in the overall standings for the FEI Nations Cup™ Dressage.

GLOCK’s Ziesto also put in a great performance in Rotterdam in front of his many fans and showed his skill at the hands of GLOCK rider Hans Peter Minderhoud. With 76.737% in the National Prix St Georges, 73.737% in the National Intermediate I and 77.100% in the National Intermediate I Freestyle, the GLOCK duo chalked up three amazing scores and three wins!

The dressage highlight was the CDIO5* Freestyle where Hans Peter Minderhoud achieved 74.575% on GLOCK’s Tango for a well-deserved fourth place and Edward Gal delivered a fascinating test on GLOCK’s Undercover, which meant 86.075% and runner-up spot for a wonderful finish to the weekend.

Casino Grand Prix in Zeltweg- Farrach
Dynamic show jumping at national level was to be seen in Zeltweg-Farrach from 20 to 23 June 2013, the next stop in the prestigious Casino Grand Prix Series with a strong GLOCK presence. And starting on Thursday our riders did not disappoint. Dieter Köfler and GLOCK’s Prince de Vaux went clear in the 1.40 m S class jumping competition to take fifth place. On Friday Gerfried Puck started the day with the LM class jumping competition. The 1.25 m fences did not pose any problems for GLOCK’s Chamonix B and the two finished eighth with a clear round. In the S** qualifier for the 1.45 m Casino Grand Prix on Sunday the GLOCK riders’ achievements were also worth noting. Dieter Köfler was second on GLOCK’s Zyramo and third on GLOCK’s Prince de Vaux, while Gerfried Puck came eleventh on GLOCK’s Usrava, making it no fewer than three GLOCK pairs among the best eleven.

Saturday was also highly successful for the GLOCK riders. Gerfried Puck and GLOCK’s Chamonix B produced a clear round in the LM 1.25 m class to take ninth place before the GLOCK riders showed their strength in the 1.40 m jumping competition at S* level with an impressive win from Gerfried Puck on GLOCK’s Usrava and ninth from Dieter Köfler on GLOCK’s Zyrano.

Sunday’s programme included another 1.40 m jumping competition at S* level and GLOCK’s horses did very well again here with a second place for Gerfried Puck on GLOCK’s Usrava and a fourth for Dieter Köfler on GLOCK’s Zyrano. Dieter Köfler and GLOCK’s Prince de Vaux rounded off the good results by finishing sixth in the Casino Grand Prix!
