Wednesday, 18 February 2015 GLOCK meets Graz

Highlight of equestrian sport at Fest der Pferde - the Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Graz

Meticulous planning with passion and perfection into every detail is the credo of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock family. This is also true for riders, horses and guests. Gaston Glock, founder of GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria and The Netherlands offers extraordinary conditions for equestrian sport and is renowned for being a great patron. As a contribution to outstanding equestrian sport events, since 2013, some select guest performances are offered outside the GHPC in Treffen, which are known as the Gaston Glock’s Championates. Graz will now have a very special premiere: the first Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix outside the GHPC!

The premiere: Graz!
“The Name Glock stands for the perfection, which we also implement in equestrian sport. With the Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix we are aiming for supporting Austrian equestrian sport in the context of a long-term promotion”, says GHPC managing director Kathrin Glock.

Thus, starting with FEST der PFERDE GRAZ, for the first time handpicked Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix can be experienced in select places in Austria for special equestrian events outside the GHPC in Treffen. This includes the equestrian sport event in Graz, in the context of which on Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 from 4pm, the first Graz Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix will be taking place.

Perfection meets equestrian sport
In 2015, after Graz, the Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix will also go to Magna Racino, Vienna and to Salzburg. At all venues, they are a true paradise for horses, riders and guests, yet a paradise for a spell. And to this end, precisely for the duration of the Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix, a GLOCK world of its own is created.

The show jumping course consists of specially designed GLOCK obstacles, decorated with beautiful, typically GLOCK-style flowers. The GLOCK cups for the top-three-ranking riders in this Grand Prix are specially made, while seeded riders will receive GLOCK sashes and GLOCK gifts.

The announcer at this Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix will be a lady whose voice is well known through the events at the GHPC in Treffen.

The GLOCK music for the prize ceremony was composed by famous Dutch composer Joost Peters, while the award ceremony for the winner and seeded riders will be presented by Austrian television star Christian Clerici.
