Olympic, World and European Champions are coming to the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER.

The event is drawing star riders from all over the world. 
No obstacle is too high for them

The international season start to be staged at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER from 30 January to 2 February welcomes world famous riders, much to the delight of equestrian sport enthusiasts.

Three World Champions, four Olympic Champions, eleven European Champions and four World Cup winners will be competing. High on the list of big names at the GHPC are the runner-up World and European Champions, silver and bronze medallists at Olympics, World and European Championships or World Cups - and together they boast an incredible 116 medals!

Austria’s Hugo Simon and Thomas Frühmann as well as the UK’s John Whitaker have international reputations as living legends. In addition to countless international successes and ten national championship titles, Hugo Simon has also taken home some special trophies. Aged 31 he won bronze at the 1974 World Championships in Hickstead and individual gold and team bronze at the alternative 1980 Olympics in Rotterdam. In 1992 Hugo then took team silver at his fifth (!) Olympics in Barcelona.

Thomas Frühmann has been Austrian Champion nine times, taking his last title with his famous horse The Sixth Sense in 2013. The Vienna-born rider has Olympic silver and bronze under his belt and also caused a sensation in Austria with his 1990 World Cup win in Del Mar (USA). His three Hamburg Derby victories, the Grand Prix win at the CHIO in Aachen and Rider of the Year title in 2006 are also now legendary.

John Whitaker (GBR) has amassed an unbelievable collection of one Olympic silver medal, four World Championship silvers and three bronzes, two World Cup wins and four European Championship golds, silvers and bronzes.

Two World Champions Jos Lansink (BEL) and Gerco Schröder (NED) will also be jumping in the CSI3* competitions. Belgium’s Lansink took his World Championship title in Aachen in 2006 and also holds Olympic gold, two World Championship bronzes, European Championship gold, silver and bronze. Aachen also saw the Dutchman Gerco Schröder being crowned Team World Champion in 2006. Topping his long list of successes are European Championship gold in Mannheim (2007) and two silver medals at the London 2012 Olympics in the individual and team events. 

The star-studded Dutch team that won Olympic silver includes world-famous show jumper Marc Houtzager. He will also be coming to the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER with team mate Jur Vrieling.

Heading here from Germany are two-time Olympic, World and European Champion Lars Nieberg and the reigning German Champion Daniel Deusser. The latter was runner-up at the 2007 World Cup final in Las Vegas and won European Championship silver in Herning in 2013.

From Thursday, 30 January 2014 you can see the stars in action at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. Admission to the indoor arena is free!
