Styrian girls are very good! Gudrun Pirker wins GLOCK's Amateur Tour

When Gudrun Pirker (AUT/St) heads for the start with her mare Alpenspan Citadelle, the competition have it anything but easy. The experienced Styrian rider and her lickety-split warm-blood mare always compete for victory. Today, starting 23rd of 29 participants, the duo stirred things up considerably at the GLOCK's Amateur Tour, showing a fantastic performance in the 1.25 m accumulator jumping competition.

The duo easily beat the benchmark laid by leading rider and yesterday’s winner Mario Tschaitschmann (AUT/K), racing with full points and in 58.38 seconds to their victory. "I might have gone up one gear today. Let’s see what happens tomorrow in the finale,” said Gudrun Pirker in the winner’s interview when asked about her ambitions for the finale.

Today Mario Tschaitschmann and Ria de Janeiro had to give way to the fast female rider, but the Carinthian rider was very happy with the second place. Poland’s Bogna Sasiadek in Cupido’s saddle prevented an Austrian triple-success, coming third in 59.77 seconds. The also consistently dangerous Birgit Peintner (AUT/K) and her Gaspari were once more able to give proof of being in great shape, securing fourth place (65/63.51) for themselves.

The Austrian result was completed by Natalie Magyer (NÖ) with Corona 2 in fifth place, Theresa Kriessmann (St) with Claerchen 26 coming eighth, Katrin Pfingstl (St) with Cuela in tenth place and Pretoria S under Vanessa Matzka (K) finishing eleventh.
