Successful weekend in Italy - roll on the Europeans!

Last weekend the GLOCK riders placed in all Olympic disciplines. While Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati competed on GLOCK’s Landregen in the CCI-2* in Pratoni del Vivaro near Rome (ITA) (9–12 May 2013), Hans Peter Minderhoud and GLOCK’s Tango did very well in the CDN in Uden (NED) (11 May 2013) and Dieter Köfler and Markus Stock were busy collecting placings in San Giovanni in Marignano (ITA) from 9 to 12 May 2013.

The CCI-2* event being the second last chance to the meet the qualification criteria for the 2013 European Military Championships, GLOCK rider Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati and GLOCK’s Landregen set off for Pratoni del Vivaro near Rome (ITA). Following a good dressage test, the GLOCK pair was in eighth before starting the challenging cross-country course and not only produced a great fault-free round, but also moved up into fourth place in the standings. They now just had to stay clear in the jumping, an obstacle the two overcame with no trouble, scoring a total of 50.20 points for fourth. Having met the European Championship qualification criteria, they are now a lot closer to competing in the big event.

Also in Italy, the two GLOCK riders Markus Stock and Dieter Köfler were equally delighted with their enviable haul of placings. Dieter took two sixth places and finished once in second on GLOCK’s Bonjour Vieux Pont VDM in the 1.35 m Tour. Also placed, Markus was eleventh on GLOCK’s Naba Uno in the 1.30 m Tour and 14th on GLOCK’s Lightning in the 1.35 m Tour.

GLOCK rider Hans Peter Minderhoud proved that his experienced GLOCK’s Tango was top fit and in sparkling form at the CDN in Uden (NED). A score of 70.50% won them the Grand Prix. Here at the second qualifier for the Dutch Championships GLOCK’s Ziesto also put in an impressive performance, winning comfortably on 75.13%. A lovely mover, the stallion therefore has his qualification in the bag and now it is off to Austria for his debut at an international event.
