Summer Feeling at GLOCK’s 5*-Premiere

For the duration of four days, that unique and breath-taking GLOCK-style atmosphere will be created against the picturesque backdrop of the Carinthian mountains, delighting both riders and spectators.

Top athletes in jump saddle from more than 20 countries, real equestrian stars and top-notch international show acts. Welcome to the international 5 star show-jumping premiere at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER from July 24th till 27th, 2014!

Horses & stars
A veritable world of magic opens up here for active participants and visitors. Meticulously planned with passion and perfection, every detail bears the unmistakeable signature of the Gaston family and Kathrin Glock. Breath-taking design of the riders lounge, delicious catering, intoxicating international show acts and a moving charity effort on behalf of people and animals in need.

Crème de la Crème of show jumping approaching

The concentration of super stars in and under the jump saddle is impressive and raises fans’ pulses. About half of the currently top-ranking 50 riders worldwide will come to Treffen in order to participate in 18 show jumping tests, competing for victories and placings. Tempting are not only the overall prize money of 600,000 euros and the five world-ranking show jumping events, but also the first GLOCK’s CSI5* Grand Prix on Sunday, in which riders compete for 450,000 euros.

The stars of equestrian sports are led by current world-ranking number four, Markus Ehning (GER). After his first visit to the GHPC last year, he certainly didn’t want to miss participating in the CSI5* Premiere too. Amongst others, strong competitors for him will be his compatriots Daniel Deusser and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Olympic and World-Cup winner Elizabeth ‘Beezie’ Madden (USA), John ‚The living Legend‘ Whitaker (GBR) and Olympic winner Steve Guerdat (SUI).

Double silver medal winner in the London Olympic Games 2013, Gerco Schröder, is awaited with great enthusiasm. For the first time, the top rider and his world-class chestnut stallion GLOCK´s London will start in the GHPC as members of the GLOCK team. As world ranking number 15, Gerco, together with his team colleagues Jur Vrieling, Harrie Smolders, Gert-Jan Bruggink, Marc Houtzager and Maikel van der Vleuten, will add another five of the fifty best riders in the world.

Keeping fingers crossed for red-white-red stars

Austria too will be sending its best athletes to the GHPC. The audience will be crossing their fingers for Austria’s number one, Stefan Eder (S), the two evergreens Thomas Frühmann (W/Vienna) and Hugo Simon (St), Netherlands-based Carinthian Robert Puck (K/Carinthia), dynamic female rider Julia Kayser (T/Tyrol), young talent Stefanie Bistan (NÖ/Lower Austria), the fast Styrian rider Markus Saurugg and valiant Nina Brand (NÖ/Lower Austria) in the CSI5*.
