Unicstar de l’Aumone is the best in the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour

Today there were again promising performances by the seven and eight-year-old new generation horses in the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour. The 28 future show jumping aces faced two-phase jumping over 1.40 m, where the time in the second phase of competition was decisive. The total of 19 penalty-free rounds underlined, on the one hand, the youngsters’ great potential whilst, on the other, the necessity of galloping strongly on in order to win a place among the leaders.

Demonstrating just how to do that was Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP) with his eight-year-old Unicstar de l’Aumone, daughter of Ninio de Rox. The duo got each distance just right and galloped over the finish line with a time of 38.28 seconds. “This is my first tournament here at the GHPC Austria and it’s amazing! I’m super-happy with winning; my horse really jumped well” said the winner with a charming smile in the interview.

In second place and representing the Hannover breeding area was the also eight-year-old Calanda (of Calido) under the saddle of Marcus Ehning (0/39.14). Third place was secured by the duo of Daniel Deusser (GER) and Ivoor van’T Paradijs (of Quadrillo) in a time of 40.33 seconds. GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder, riding GLOCK’s Debalia, daughter of Numero Uno, completed a speedy round for fourth (40.59).

Places six and seven went to the two Austrian riders Max Kühner (T) and Gerfried Puck (St) with their seven-year-olds, Jack van’T Kattenheye and Elroyal.
