Whitney van’t Genthof retires

After a long and very successful career, GLOCK rider Hans Peter Minderhoud’s outstanding BWP elite stallion, Whitney van’t Genthof, is going into well-earned retirement. “What he achieved was amazing. Having been successful at Grand Prix level for six years, he should now enjoy his retirement. He definitely deserves it,” says Hans Peter Minderhoud. Born on 17 April 1999, the large-framed bay stallion will spend his remaining years with his owners.

Whitney van’t Genthof is a Ferro son out of a dam by Balzflug. The features that made him stand out were his considerable gait potential, superb use of the hind legs, willingness to perform, strong mind and great character. Known by the name of Whitney van’t Waaihof until 2008, the BWP elite stallion was renamed after being sold to the Bart Van Malderen family. He was a member of the Belgian dressage team under Stefan Van Ingelgem before coming to Hans Peter Minderhoud in spring 2011 and being presented by him at the CDI Verden for the first time. Whitney van’t Genthof can look back on a highly successful international sport career with many wins and placings at the best dressage events in the world.
