Edward and GLOCK’s Zonik are the champions

There was great excitement ahead of the Dutch Dressage Championships, because the field of starters was simply first class. GHPC Netherlands had all of its riders at the start, so Hans Peter Minderhoud, with GLOCK’s Johnson TN, Edward Gal, with GLOCK’s Voice and GLOCK’s Zonik, and Riccardo Sanavio, with Dark President, all took part in the championships.

GLOCK’s Zonik, just nine years old, caused a mighty stir. Edward Gal presented his powerful mount and great hope for the future, bred from Blue Hors Zack x GLOCK’s Romanov, in the Big Tour’s Grand Prix and took second place with 77.500 %. In the Final, the DWB stallion scored a sensational 82.525 %, which meant the first victory for the GLOCK duo in the Big Tour of the Dutch Championships and therefore gold.

Meanwhile it was an impressive GLOCK’s Johnson TN in the very best condition who was presented by Hans Peter Minderhoud in the Big Tour, achieving 76.960 % in the Grand Prix (3rd place) and 80.865 % in the Freestyle (3rd place) for bronze in these championships (Big Tour).

Showing himself fit for the European Championships was GLOCK’s Voice under Edward Gal. This 14-year-old KWPN stallion scored 74.300 % (4th place) in the Grand Prix of the Big Tour and won the small final of the Big Tour (Grand Prix Special) with 75.706 %.

Celebrating a first big success was GLOCK trainer-rider Riccardo Sanavio in the saddle on the eight-year-old stallion Dark President. Whilst in the Prix St Georges, which counted as the first competitive stage of the Small Tour, he was still in seventh place with 70.746 %, in the Intermediaire I second competitive stage he managed to finish with victory (69.912 %).
