Successful home tournament for Gerco Schröder

Before GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder made the trip to the CSI5* at his second home base, the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria in Treffen, he seized his home field advantage at Jumping Tubbergen 2018 to prepare himself and his horses for the forthcoming challenges; and very successfully too.

Ten-year-old GLOCKs Debalia, daughter of Numero Uno, presented herself with lots of ambition and great jumping dynamics on the course over 1.45 m. After having come fourth on Thursday (31/05) in the CSI3* Big Tour, the well-rehearsed duo was able to win the Medium Tour in the final on Saturday.

On Friday, Gerco, in the saddle of KWPN stallion GLOCK’s Zaranza (Karandasj x Heartbreaker), was penalty-free and was able to achieve placings. He came 17th out of 74 participants in the jumping competition in two phases over 1.45 m – the Rabobank Prize.

On Saturday, for the CSI1* Grand Prix (1.30 m), Gerco saddled GLOCK’s Dobelensky, son of Cornet Obolensky, and was able to secure an excellent 9th place with a penalty-free round in the jump-off.

In the Glock Prijs the course was over 1.50 m and was decided in the jump-off. Dutch rider Frank Schuttert, in the saddle of his 10-year-old Oldenburg mare la Fille Rouge, was able to win this competition ahead of his compatriots Albert Zoer (Heechhiem's Cancun VDM) and Willem Greve (Zypria S).
