GLOCK’s 2* Tour victory for Teddy Vlock

Awaiting riders on the second day was the GLOCK’s 2* Tour, an accumulator with joker over 1.40 m. Twenty-four duos set themselves the challenge of mastering the ten obstacles penalty-free in order to collect the maximum point score of 65. Serving as the joker was a tall white upright with three wave-planks which, as the last obstacle, offered 20 points.

For the first time this weekend, victory went to the USA. Indeed 20-year-old Teddy Vlock, in the saddle of his 13-year-old Belgian warmblood gelding Charly Brown and starting first, immediately delivered an impressive ride, reflecting his talents as one of the most promising young US-American riders.

The well-practised duo crossed the finishing line in 47.73 seconds, thereby securing victory ahead of Stephen Moore from Ireland, who completed the course on KWPN-gelding Deejay in 47.96 seconds.

Taking third place, also with the full point score of 65 and also for the USA, was 26-year-old Paris Sellon and her nine-year-old Silver Shine (Califax x Balou du Rouet).

Delivering the best Austrian red-white-red result were Alessandra Reich (W) and her 17-year-old KWPN gelding U Mijnheer in sixth place. This duo already enjoyed great success yesterday with second place in the opening GLOCK’s 2* Tour and confirmed their form today.
