Marlon Modolo Zanotelli wins ahead of GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder

Day two of International Show Jumping at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER opened with the GLOCK’s 5* Tour. Twenty eight duos had entered to start in the competition in two phases over 1.50 m. The task was to master the nine splendidly decorated jumps in the first phase with no penalties, in order then to have a chance of a top placing in the second phase with prize money totalling 10,000 euros.

Sports fans already saw the ultimately winning duo enter with start number eight, as Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli remained penalty-free on his ten-year-old Belgian mare Isabeau de Laubry (Cardento I x Chin Chin). His time of 34.15 stood as the benchmark till the very end.

“I knew my mare was very fast so I hoped the time would be good enough. Especially tomorrow in the GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix I’ll give it my all and do my best.”

In second place was Olympic silver medallist, World and European Champion Gerco Schröder (NED). The GLOCK Rider had saddled up ten-year-old GLOCK’s Dobelensky, son of Cornet Obolensky, for the morning’s competition, qualified easily for the second phase and completed it magnificently in a rapid 36.82 seconds.

Coming third was Malin Baryard-Johnsson from Sweden with her ten-year-old Swedish warmblood mare H&M Second Chance.

With Max Kühner (T) and 13-year-old Cornet Kalua, once again Austria could celebrate a top five result at the start of day 2.
