Many successes for GLOCK stallions
Every year, the KWPN Stallion Show in the Dutch city of ‘s Hertogenbosch is a meeting place for breeders, stallion owners and horse enthusiasts. Over four days from 29 January till 1 February 2020,the best of KWPN breeding were presented, stallions in various age groups were tested under the saddle and a variety of exciting tuition and prize events were staged. The GLOCK Team attended with a total of 11 stallions, who mastered their tasks brilliantly.
At the tribute to the Dutch silver team in the European Championships of Rotterdam 2019, standing out were 11-year-old DWB-stallion GLOCK’s Zonik N.O.P. (Blue Hors Zack x GLOCK’s Romanov) under Edward Gal and also 11-year-old KWPN-stallion GLOCK’s Dream Boy N.O.P. (Vivaldi x Ferro) under Hans Peter Minderhoud, alongside their team colleagues Desperado N.O.P. under Emmelie Scholtens and MDH Avanti N.O.P. under Anne Meulendijks. There were standing ovations for our KWPN premium stallion GLOCK’s Johnson TN ( Jazz x Flemmingh x Sultan), who had won the title "Horse of the Year" and was led by his rider of many years, Hans Peter Minderhoud.
In the final of the Anemone Horse Trucks dressage competition in class L, 5-year-old KWPN-stallion GLOCK’s King Karim (GLOCK’s Toto Jr. x Painted Black), under Hans Peter Minderhoud, stood out with a score of 93 points and was declared the winner with a total of 367 points.
Occupying third place was five-year-old Hanoverian stallion GLOCK’s Taminiau (GLOCK’s Toto Jr. x Sandro Hit), also presented by Hans Peter Minderhoud and collecting a score of 89 points in this competition and a total of 362 points.
Among the dressage stallions was three-year-old Hanoverian premium stallion GLOCK’s Victorio. Born in 2017, this son of Vitalis and a dam descended from Bon-Bravour was chosen for the KWPN stallion selection.
There were standing ovations at the conclusion of the KWPN stallion days for the freshly conjured Black Magic show. Three Totilas-progeny did full justice to their famous father and were already demonstrating dressage movements at the highest level. The eight-year-old Hanoverian stallion GLOCK’s Total US (Totilas x Sir Donnerhall I x Blue Hors Don Schufro) was presented under Edward Gal, along with nine-year-old Hanoverian stallion GLOCK’s Toto Jr. (Totilas x Desperados FRH x Rotspon) under Hans Peter Minderhoud and also eight-year-old DSP-stallion GLOCK’s Trafalgar (Totilas x Lord Loxley I x Sandro Hit) under Ingrid Malan.
