Outstanding successes for the GLOCK Team

Every year in January, the Dutch capital Amsterdam becomes the international Mecca for equestrian sports, also hosting the show jumping and dressage World Cup. For GLOCK Riders Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud and Gerco Schröder, these big events on home turf are always a particular highlight, while crowds of Dutch fans also want to rub shoulders with their idols.

Following that sensational tournament debut in Tolbert at the start of the year, Edward Gal took the opportunity to present just-eight-year-old GLOCK’s Total US in the grand setting of Jumping Amsterdam. In the national dressage magazine prize, a Prix St. Georges, Edward and this son of Totilas scored 75.539%, thereby securing a magnificent victory. In the Anemone Horse Trucks Prize, an Intermediaire I musical freestyle, Edward and the highly-talented Hanoverian stallion performed brilliantly to the music and, with an outstanding score of 80.458%, celebrated their second magnificent victory.

In the Grand Prix of the Dressage World Cup, Edward Gal, in the saddle on eleven-year-old GLOCK’s Zonik N.O.P., achieved a score of 76.587% after some small errors, meaning fifth place. Hans Peter Minderhoud, with GLOCK’s Dream Boy N.O.P., also picked up some small faults and, with 74.587%, achieved a placing of ninth. Things then went superbly in the World Cup Freestyle. Edward and GLOCK’s Zonik N.O.P. scored 85.385%, their personal best performance, taking third place and receiving standing ovations from spectators. Success too with the finest of freestyles from Hans Peter with GLOCK’s Dream Boy N.O.P. The GLOCK duo delighted all with 82.780% for sixth place and, in the overall rating ahead of the final, were also in the sixth top placing.

On the show jumping course, GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder delivered a remarkable performance. With 16-year-old KWPN gelding GLOCK’s Zaranza (Karandasj x Heartbreaker), right at the start in the World Ranking jumping Heineken 0.0 Prize over 1.45 m, Gerco achieved a rapid, clean round for fourth place. Rounding off on Sunday (16/01) with the son of Karandasj, Gerco delivered a fast jump-off in the Provincie Noord-Holland Prize, a World Ranking competition over 1.45 m with jump-off, and celebrated fifth place. Riding 17-year-old Holsteiner gelding GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc in the Telegraaf Prize, a World Ranking competition over 1.50 m with jump-off, Gerco delivered a double clear round and took the fifth top placing.
