Brothers duelling in the GLOCK’s 2* Tour

“Starting as eighth, my brother Lucas produced an excellent time, but I knew that I could be faster at one particular point.” With this statement and a playful smile on his face, the US American rider Wilton Porter received congratulations for his victory in the GLOCK’s 2* Tour today. The disciple of two-times world and European champion Jeroen Dubbeldam started for the first time in the GHPC Austria and left all of his 30 competitors behind with some ease. In the saddle of eight-year-old Hanoverian gelding Balou d’Acord, Wilton Porter only needed 67.33 seconds for the course over 1.35 m and commented enthusiastically on the International Show Jumping at the GHPC in the winner’s interview. “I’ve never seen a tournament like this. The Las-Vegas-theme was implemented ingeniously and you really feel at ease here.”

The 22-year-old rider relegated his brother Lucas, who had led till that point with Quattro B daughter Phineas, to second place (69.32); the best female rider Annelies Vorsselmans (BEL) came third. She completed the GLOCK’s 2* Tour in the saddle of her 9-year-old KWPN mare Courage in 73.13 seconds.
