CSI3* kicks off with victory for Austria!

What a start! It was the Austrian anthem that played for the winner of today’s season opener at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER. Christian Schranz made sure of that, as he jumped to win right from the outset on his round in the 1.30 m opening class - and had it all sewn up 47.46 seconds later. The Lower Austrian, who has often been on the Austrian team in the Nations Cup, consistently pushed his 11-year-old chestnut gelding Whisper von Lichten and galloped over the finishing line with the best time.

Emanuele Gaudiano from Italy, the previous leader renowned for his speed, and his 8-year-old Admara 2 sired by Padinus had to content themselves with second place (47.58) and excelling in third today was Werner Muff (SUI) after completing his round with 10-year-old Donna out of Kannan in a time of 47.59 seconds.

In addition, the following Austrians were also placed: GLOCK rider Robert Puck on GLOCK’s Alato SR finished sixth, GLOCK rider Katrin Khoddam-Hazrati took eighth spot on Oktave, Styria’s Markus Saurugg was twelfth on Texas I, Lower Austria’s Anton Martin Bauer came 15th on Dominant van 'T Heike, GLOCK rider Gerfried Puck slotted in at 16th on GLOCK's Wibo B and Styria’s Alfred Greimel on Cherie 178 placed 21st.
