Edward and Hans Peter delight one and all with their GLOCK horses in Las Vegas
From April 15th till 19th, 2015 the desert city of Las Vegas (USA) was marked by the FEI World Cup™ Finals. The two Dutch GLOCK riders, Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud, had already succeeded in scoring high ranks in the qualification competitions and counted amongst the favourites for the top ranks in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Finale.
With the two four-legged GLOCK superstars, GLOCK's Undercover N.O.P. and GLOCK's Flirt, they embarked by plane towards the USA. On Wednesday (April 15th, 2015), after three days of quarantine, Edward and 'Fritsie' as well as Hans Peter and 'Flirty' were allowed to enter the Thomas & Mack Arena for the first time. The horses presented themselves as fresh, motivated and ready for the finale. Things then got serious on Thursday (16th of April) – the Grand Prix de Dressage was scheduled for this day. GLOCK rider Hans Peter and GLOCK's Flirt entered the arena as the 14th duo. 'Flirty' did a fantastic job, not showing any signs of reaction to the extreme vicinity of the audience, the raging applause or the small arena – the result was seventh place with a score of 73.657 %.
Edward and GLOCK's Undercover N.O.P. were the last but one of 18 duos to enter the arena. After three days of quarantine, 'Fritsie' was full of energy. But, as usual, the son of Ferro complied with the subtle commands from his rider and thus the GLOCK Duo scored 81.900 % for second place.
After one day of break on Friday, Saturday was the day of the great World Cup finals - the Grand Prix musical freestyle was scheduled for this day. Both Hans Peter with GLOCK's Flirt and Edward with GLOCK's Undercover N.O.P. were able to demonstrate their strong sides here. 'Flirty' scored particularly with his incredibly smooth lateral gaits and impressive extended paces, achieving an excellent fifth place (79.036 %) in his first world cup finals.
For 'Fritsie' the judges produced the highest scores for piaffe and pirouette. The score of 84.696 % was only topped by title defender Charlotte Dujardin (GBR) and her Valegro. Thus Team GLOCK joined Edward in celebrating second place in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/15.
