Successful dressage inspection in Stadl-Pauer

It was also to be an important dressage competition at the weekend for the GLOCK riders from 15 to 17 February: the dressage inspection in Stadl-Paura (CDN-A*) serves to check whether the horses that may be considered for selection for the Austrian team and sending to the relevant shows perform appropriately and are fit for presentation.

After the first tests on Friday (15 Feb), the riders had to concentrate even harder on Saturday and Sunday. The average of the two results would be taken and if they wanted to pass the inspection, they would need a score of at least over 65% depending on the level of difficulty.

Both GLOCK riders, Timna Zach and Marcel Schoenmakers, proved that they are fit and on form without any problems. Right at the start on Friday GLOCK young rider Timna Zach showed her strength at S level, FEI Prix St. Georges by finishing third on GLOCK’s Federleicht.

On Saturday GLOCK rider Marcel Schoenmakers – who was out of action for a long time because of injury – returned to the arena for the Grand Prix at S level on GLOCK’s Grandioso and won it with the Grosso-Z son. Timna Zach and GLOCK’s Federleicht also competed at Young Rider S level and were delighted to take second place with a score of 67.89%.

Sunday brought further proof that Timna and GLOCK’s Federleicht are on form: 66.01% gave them third spot and a good result for passing the inspection comfortably. GLOCK rider Marcel Schoenmakers and GLOCK’s Grandioso also passed with flying colours. Their 66.33% in the Grand Prix Special at S level was good enough for another win, making it the double.
