Summer feeling with 5 stars

At Austria’s only CSI5* event, from June 14th to 16th 2019, all participants and visitors will be treated to top-class international 5-star show jumping sport and unforgettable show acts by outstanding stars in the exclusive panache of the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Austria. For three days, Olympic winners, world and European champions as well as numerous world stars of show jumping will once again make GHPC Austria a hotspot of equestrian sport.

The crème de la crème of the show jumping elite are coming

Show jumping superstars have a very busy tournament agenda in the year of the European Championships of Rotterdam (NL). Nevertheless, travelling to International Show Jumping at the GHPC Austria will be superstars in and under the saddle from more than 20 nations, in order to contest victory and placings in 12 jumping competitions. Attractive for them are not only the total prize pot of 597,000 euros and five World Ranking list events, but also the top-level GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix on Sunday (16/06/2019), where 344,000 euros are at stake.

The strong field of starters is headed by a rider from Switzerland, who had already taken an Olympic gold at the Youth Olympic Games at an early age and is the current number five in the show jumping world ranking: Martin Fuchs is exceptionally capable in the saddle. At the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA) he took individual silver and, alongside a victory in the GLOCK’s 3* Grand Prix, he has already had two GLOCK’s 5-star Grand Prix victories in the bag. Nicola Philippaerts also celebrated a gold medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Back then he was a team colleague of Martin Fuchs and, riding together for the team from Europe, they took gold. Since then, the 25-year-old Belgian has won numerous Grands Prix, ridden in Nations Cups, taken part in World and European Championships and, as a photo model, has a swarm of delighted fans.

Among others competing with the two young stars will be Emanuele Gaudiano, well known for his rapid rounds. The Italian is the current number 38 in the world and has gone to the start line for his country at many championships. One rider, who can call GHPC Austria his second home, is a team World Champion, European Champion and two-times Olympic silver medallist at the London Olympic Games: GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder (NED) is travelling to the CSI5* in Carinthia again in 2019 and is bringing his best horses along.

Opportunity to qualify for the European Championships and Olympic Games
There will be a very special sense of excitement around the splendid competition arena for the GLOCK’s 5* Grand Prix on Sunday, carrying prize money totalling 344,000 euros. As well as those hotly contested Longines World Ranking List points, here the athletes also have their sights set on chances to qualify for the 2019 European Championships and the 2020 Olympic Games.

GLOCK Perfection meets equestrian sport

The exclusive nature of the event is reflected not only in the extraordinary cast of participants; the very special ambience of tournaments at the GHPC Austria is internationally renowned and bears the personal signature of the CEO, Kathrin Glock, in every detail. Alongside the sporting highlights, a veritable world of enchantment, focusing on breathtaking design, exquisite catering, captivating live acts and charitably support for people and animals in need, opens up to participants and visitors alike.
