Two top-ten placings for Gerco
A wide-ranging programme with top international competition over the jumps and in the dressage arena, a huge range of delightful shopping and entertaining show appearances, all on offer every year at the CSI4* Signal Iduna Cup at the Westfalenhallen arena in Dortmund (GER). GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder was also competing from 07-10 March in Dortmund and succeeded in taking two top-ten places at 4-star level.
With his 15-year-old KWPN gelding, GLOCK’s Zaranza, Gerco delivered one of the eleven acclaimed clear rounds in the CSI4* Baker Tilly prize over 1.45 m, meaning qualification for the deciding jump-off. In the saddle on the dark brown son of Karandasj and Heartbreaker, the two-times silver medallist in the 2012 Olympic Games took an outstanding ninth place in this world ranking jumping competition.
Taking ninth place with the eleven-year-old KWPN gelding, Davino Q, on Sunday in the CSI4* Grosser Preis der Bundesrepublik over 1.60 m with deciding jump-off, was a gratifying way to round off this tournament weekend in Germany.
