Welcome GLOCK’s Galanda!

With gray gelding GLOCK’s Brilliant Berlin having taken up residence with Gerco Schröder in August 2020, now the Dutchman has a new top-class show jumper under the saddle, namely GLOCK’s Galanda. This ten-year-old KWPN mare by Lexicon x Animo x Mytens xx was bred by Herman and Erna ter Huurne of the Netherlands and most recently gained international show jumping experience over 1.55 m under Sophie Hinners.

Her sire Lexicon is a combination of those two exceptional stallions, Voltaire and Nimmerdor, who were brilliant in terms of both sporting and breeding performance. Her damsire Animo von Alme Z jumped successfully under Morten Aasen at the Barcelona Olympic Games (1992) and gained a place on the WBFSH List (list of the most successful breeding stallions in the world), reaching eighth place. Animo was also impressive in his breeding performance and delivered more than 70 offspring, who jumped over 1.60 m and of whom countless many were successful up to challenging classes.

“I saw GLOCK’s Galanda at the tournament in St. Tropez and was immediately impressed. She has a lot of ability, she’s careful and has already achieved very good results in competitions over 1.50 m. Things feel great with her and so of course I hope that we can become a good team and ride together in top-class sport. I am overjoyed that GLOCK gives me the chance to ride this horse.”, said Gerco Schröder, looking forward to a successful future with her.
