A perfect GLOCK weekend

It was an eventful weekend with a lot of sunshine for the GLOCK riders from 6 to 9 June and they came out shining themselves. At the CDI3* CDIY CDIJ in Achleiten (Upper Austria), GLOCK young rider Timna Zach took top spot in the dressage arena with GLOCK’s Federleicht. Further away, GLOCK rider Robert Puck jumped well at the CSI3* Lons le Saunier in France, while his brother, GLOCK rider Gerfried Puck, competed in the CSN-A CSN-B at Magna Racino equestrian sports park.GLOCK rider David Tschikof placed in the CSN-C at Aspang (Lower Austria).

GLOCK young rider Timna Zach was in a class of her own at the international dressage event in Achleiten. The 20-year-old trusted once again in nine-year-old GLOCK’s Federleicht and it paid off both on Friday in the Prix St Georges, where she took first place with 71.096%, and on Sunday in the Young Riders Individual. Here the GLOCK pair’s score of 70.868% was good for the win, again confirming their great form for the European Young Rider Championships in Compiègne (FRA) from 9 to 14 July.

Unfortunately, the weather spoiled GLOCK rider Robert Puck’s chances of qualifying for the upcoming European Championships in Herning (DEN) at the CSI3* Grand Prix in Lons le Saunier. Just before the 1.60 m jump, there was such a deluge that the organisers decided not to hold the class in the interests of the horses. GLOCK rider Robert Puck, who had entered GLOCK’s Zaranza here, simply had to accept the situation. The Carinthian had however been successful the previous days and still took home a few placings from Lons le Saunier. On Friday (7 June), for example, he took fifth place in the 1.35 m tour on the KWPN stallion GLOCK’s Zaranza, on Saturday (8 June) he first came fourth in the 1.40 m on GLOCK’s Alato SR and then tenth riding the six-year-old Stakkato progeny GLOCK’s Charismatic Boy in the 1.35 m. Making it a successful finish in France, he was eighth in the 1.35 m on GLOCK’s Alato SR on Sunday.

The brilliant sunshine obviously inspired GLOCK rider Gerfried Puck at the CSN-A CSN-B in Magna Racino equestrian sports park and the horses too were in top form. He got straight down to business on Friday, going clear both on GLOCK’s Laurenz (8th) and GLOCK’s Usrava (14th) in the 1.30 m LM class. In the 1.40 m S* he also claimed second with the only eight-year-old black gelding GLOCK’s Laurenz. On Saturday, GLOCK rider Gerfried Puck finished sixth and seventh in the 1.40 m S* on GLOCK’s Laurenz and GLOCK’s Usrava respectively, then on Sunday clinched fourth place with GLOCK’s Usrava in the Magna Racino Grand Prix, a 1.40 m S**.

Some 60 km further south, David Tschikof successfully showed GLOCK’s Timo and GLOCK’s Scolari at the CSN-C in Aspang (Lower Austria). On Saturday, the Carinthian triumphed on GLOCK’s Timo in the 1.15 m style L to take the win with a score of 7.2 points. Second place also went to the GLOCK rider, this time on GLOCK’s Scolari with 6.8 points. In the 1.15 m L class accumulator, David rode GLOCK’s Timo once more and secured another good result: second spot with the maximum score of 44 points in a time of 56.19 seconds.
