Successful CSI5* premiere for GLOCK's Lausejunge!
On the weekend from May 1st till 3rd, GLOCK’s Lausejunge had his first big appearance at CSI5* level with GLOCK rider Gerco Schröder. The Dutch rider started with the eight-year-old gelding in the prestigious CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid (ESP) and, right away, GLOCK’s Lausejunge gave a convincing performance amongst a field of top-class participants.
Already at the first competition on Friday (May 1st, 2015), ‘Lausejunge’ was anything but unsettled, whether by the grass surface or the selective course over 1.45 metres with mighty obstacles such as the open water ditch. “He really lives up to his name”, said a laughing Gerco after the first penalty-free round, which he, just as all the others, took with pointed calmness. The son of Ludwig As x Cornet Obolensky, who was raised in Westphalia, was able to prove his potential on Saturday and Sunday too. In all three competitions he executed penalty-free rides over the obstacles.
"I am extremely happy with GLOCK's Lausejunge! He shows absolutely no fear and is not unsettled either by the big arena or the imposing course. On the contrary, he’s always cheeky, ambitious and it’s great fun to ride him. I am incredibly grateful to Gaston and Kathrin Glock for having been given this wonderful horse!"
