Top performances from Gerco Schröder in Shanghai

The Chinese metropolis of Shanghai was the hotspot of the international show jumping world from April 29th till May 1st 2016. That very weekend, the exclusive Longines Global Champions Tour was hosted in this great city, to which GLOCK Rider Gerco Schröder had also been invited. With GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc N.O.P. and GLOCK’s Zaranza, the Dutchman set off on the long journey and returned with excellent results amongst his luggage.

Following an extended break, thirteen-year-old GLOCK’s Cognac Champblanc N.O.P. made his comeback on the course and demonstrated top form again with a penalty-free performance in the world-ranking jumping over 1.45 m on Friday and just one knockdown in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix (1.60 m) on Saturday.

Bred from Karandasj x Heartbreaker, the KWPN stallion GLOCK’s Zaranza was in magnificent form in Shanghai. Thanks to superbly ridden clear rounds both on Friday and on Sunday, with him Gerco secured sixth place in the world-ranking jumping with jump-off over 1.55 m.
