GLOCK’s Total U.S. wins PAVO Cup 2018

One of the really big highlights of the year for Dutch breeders is the PAVO Cup for four to six-year-old dressage horses. Only the best 20 of the four to five-year-old and best twelve of the six-year-old dressage talents under the saddle can qualify for the final in Ermelo. To make it to the final, traditionally held during the Dutch Championships in Ermelo, a horse must be capable of exceptional movements in all gaits. In the final for the best three, unfamiliar riders test their rideability. Only then is the PAVO Cup Champion of the year ultimately established.

With  GLOCK’s Total U.S. (Totilas x Sir Donnerhall I) ridden by GLOCK Rider Edward Gal and GLOCK’s Trafalgar (Totilas x Lord Loxley I) ridden by GLOCK Rider-Trainer Riccardo Sanavio, two stallions from the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER Netherlands at once qualified for the final for six-year-old dressage horses.

Under GLOCK Rider Edward Gal, GLOCK’s Total U.S., son of Totilas, put on a performance that was full of verve, in rhythm and strong in movement, delighting judges and spectators alike. In the unfamiliar rider test, GLOCK’s Total U.S. received 9.8 and, with a total of 276.8 points, took a magnificent victory. For this lustrous black stallion this was his second victory in the PAVO Cup, having already won in the five-year-old category in 2017. GLOCK’s Trafalgar, also six years old, achieved an outstanding fifth place in the PAVO Cup 2018 under GLOCK Rider-Trainer Riccardo Sanavio. In 2016, GLOCK’s Toto Jr. (Totilas x Desperados) won the PAVO Cup for five-year-old dressage horses.
