Thursday, 02 February 2012 Competition 4: Bronze Tour – 130 cm

Sforza Italia! Emanuele Gaudiano's early-morning victory in the Bronze Tour

He is notorious for speed and did his reputation justice with a hair-raising performance this morning: Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano and his Padinus-daughter Admara 2 raced through the Bronze Tour over 1.30m and were rewarded with their first victory at the GHPC CSI3*.

By a hair's breadth, budding Finnish rider Anna Julia Kontio and Rio Nuevo were beaten to second place. Shane Carey (IRL), winner of yesterday's opening jumping competition, came third with eight-year-old Zandiego U.

The best Austrian result once again came from Styrian "express rider" Markus Saurugg (fourth place with Success) and Alpenspan team rider Dieter Köfler who made the Glock hosts proud with Glock's Zyrano at seventh place. Styria's Simon Johann Zuchi and his AVR Estonia (descendant of Santander H) and a clear round were placed at 15.
