There's no such thing as can't be done for Thomas Weinberg and Escobar

With start number 61, he went straight to first place. Young German rider Thomas Weinberg put his motto "there's no such thing as can't be done" into practice today at the Silver Tour over 1.35m. A native of Aachen, Weinberg and his Hanoverian gelding Escobar 20 (descendant of Escudo) effortlessly completed a clear round and were delighted with their victory. "I used to try my hand at every sports discipline other than riding", he smiled when asked about his parents, successful riders Peter and Helena Weinberg, "but finally I admitted that I was drawn to horses and now I cannot imagine how it could ever be otherwise."

Germany was in a league of its own in the Silver Tour – with Rolf Moormann and Cedrick 8, second place also went to Germany, ahead of Belgium's Maurice van Roosbroeck on Cliff II. Austria's Christian Schranz on Whisper van Lichten came in eighth, while Hugo Simon on C.T. and young Alpenspan team rider Markus Stock on Quick Step 6 also made it into the ranking.
