Saturday, 04 February 2012 Competition 12: Youngster Tour FINAL for 6- and 7-year-old horses – 1.25 m / 1.30 m

Young stars! Atlantis PP Z and Daniel Deusser (GER) are number 1 in the Youngster Tour

The first final proved tricky, as only six of the 32 riders who started in the competition were able to qualify for the final of the Youngster Tour for 6- and 7-year-old horses. "My horse really made it easy for me and I was lucky in that I was the last one to start in the jump-off", said Germany's young star Daniel Deusser in the saddle of his 7-year-old Atlantis PP Z, son of Air Gordon. Deusser already showed his special touch for youngsters in 2011, when he made second place at the World Championship for 7-year-olds.

The jump-off had yielded only three faultless rounds. Apart from the winner, only Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski (POL) with Crazy Quick, 7-year-old son of Chacco – Blue and Monika Noskovicova (SVK) on seven-year old grey mare Canturana, daughter of Canturo, completed the round without any faults, securing them second and third place respectively.

Best six-year-old horse was Avatar, son of Acodetto, who made it to fourth place with rider Robert Bombek (SLO). A thoroughly Austrian duo saved the day for the host nation: Christiane Fleischhacker and six-year-old Nana von Pachern, daughter of Santander H, came fifth.
