GLOCK's Johnson best sire in the world for the fourth time
As in 2020, 2022 and 2023, the 22-year-old KWPN stallion GLOCK's Johnson TN (Jazz x Flemingh) has been named best dressage stallion sire by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH).
GLOCK’s Johnson TN has 38 KWPN-licensed sons including Breezer, Bretton Woods and Firestone. More than 50 of his progeny perform at international Grand Prix level and several offspring were included in the national dressage teams over the last years, including Hartsuijker, Hexagon’s Double Dutch, Boston STH Ben Johnson DVB and Chocolate Cookie RDP. Offspring Hero (GLOCK's Johnson TN x OO Seven) was part of the Dutch dressage team in Riesenbeck with Devenda Dijkstra. In 2016, GLOCK’s Johnson TN was awarded the title of “keur”, in 2018 the title “preferent” and, in 2019, he was awarded the title of “KWPN Stallion of the Year”. Moreover, in 2020 GLOCK's Johnson TN became the new number one in the WBSFH rankings, where he overtook his sire Jazz. Also in 2022 and 2023, he topped this ranking of most successful stallions and, in 2019 and 2021, he was listed as the second WBFSH sire.
GLOCK’s Johnson TN is a son of the renowned Jazz, who was successful up to Grand Prix level. Damsire Flemmingh has earned a great reputation for breeding, having produced Krack C and Edward Gal’s famous stallion Lingh, to name but two. GLOCK’s Johnson TN goes back to the famous “NL-merrielijn 8”, also known as the Reina line. This ranks among the most important dam lines in the Netherlands, including such world-famous horses as Darkdream, Sultan, Mendel, Charmeur and Waldo in its pedigree.
