Carinthia ahead in the GLOCK’s Small Tour Finale!

Contesting the first finale at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER today were the 18 participants in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Small Tour. At the jumping competition accumulator over 1.20 m there was a definite need for speed from the first jump to the last. But whoever was to win would have to also master the joker jump at the end of the course, fault-free. Because this held the only possibility of attaining the full point score of 65.

This tour de force was achieved by just five of the competing duos, with the best time being clearly achieved by Carinthia. Because, as penultimate starter, Isabella Schneider cleared the course literally from the back. In the saddle of her 16-year-old Chromatico daughter Contessa 13, she relied on a swift gallop and tight turns and, encouraged by cheers from the audience, she flew to victory in the CSI1* GLOCK’s Small Tour Finale in 53.21.

Second-placed Ruven Simon (GER), with his eight-year-old Hanoverian mare Pialotta PJ, also achieved 65 points, and the time of 56.73 seconds ultimately meant second place overall.

The last to start, Carmen Buffa, very nearly relieved him of that position. This lady from Carinthia guided her twelve-year-old KWPN stallion Wasper L through a magnificent ride and, with full points in 57.51 seconds, achieved third place.

A veritable Austrian pack was on their heels from fourth to twelfth places. Leading the charge was Katrin Pfingstl (St) on La Charite Z (65/64.39) ahead of Dieter Sommerhuber (K) on Cross Light (65/66.76), Silvana Florian (St) on Jake Sully (61/71.38), Birgit Peintner (K) on Gaspari (60/47.92), Isabel Starke (K) on Effe (60/72.09), Norbert Wiener (W) on Feliciana v. Vliethof (58/62.80), Katharina Schüttelkopf (K) on Lord Erhard (58/64.93), Aglaia Bechmann (K) on Tortuga de Janeiro (57/63.17) and Christiane Fleischhacker (K) on Oki Doki (55/64.02).
