GLOCK meets Salzburg

Detailed and loving planning form the credo of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock family.  As a contribution to outstanding equestrian sport events, since 2013 some select guest performances have been offered outside the GHPC in Treffen. This year, Gaston Glock, founder of GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTERs in Austria and The Netherlands, has taken over patronage of two top-class competitions: the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle presented by the Gaston and Kathrin Glock Family and Gaston Clock’s Grand Prix Salzburg.

“The name Glock stands for perfection, which we also implement in equestrian sport. Through sponsoring the Dressage World Cup in Salzburg and Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix, we want to support Austrian equestrian sport in the context of a long-term promotion”, says GHPC managing director Kathrin Glock.

The World Cup back in Austria
Through the support of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock family, in the context of the Mevisto Amadeus Horse Indoors in Salzburg, one leg of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage will be taking place in Austria for the second time. Following the more than successful premiere last year, the dressage World Cup returns this year to the city of Mozart, setting all dressage fans’ pulses racing.

Exciting highlight: Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Salzburg
Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix Salzburg is the show jumping highlight at the Mevisto Amadeus Horse Indoors. The Salzburgarena will see a true paradise for horses, riders and guests created. Yet paradise but for a spell. And to this end, precisely for the duration of Gaston Glock’s Grand Prix, a GLOCK world of its own is created. The show jumping course consists of specially designed GLOCK obstacles, decorated with beautiful, typically GLOCK-style flowers. The GLOCK cups for the top-three-ranking riders in this championship are being produced specially, while placed riders will receive GLOCK sashes and GLOCK gifts. The GLOCK music for the prize ceremony was composed by famous Dutch composer Joost Peters and, for the award ceremony for the winner and placed riders, Austrian television star Christian Clerici will be joining the show.
