Vienna social market organisation receives generous donation

Since 2008, Alexander Schiel has operated three shops under the brand Sozialmarkt in the Austrian capital. People with a monthly minimum salary of less than 900 euros can purchase convenience goods here at a considerably reduced price. The non-profit association must do without any public subsidies. The support of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock family not only guarantees the continuation of the operation, but has also led to a considerable expansion of the markets and product range for the more than 40,000 members.
